    May 14 :

    Here are two new PDF reviews of Virtavia models by Ray's Aviation : B-1B Lancer Review and C-17 Globemaster III Review .


    Apr 30 :

    The new A-4 Skyhawk package will now include the A-4E variant. This has delayed release a little, the first screenshots of the exterior will be shown soon. Release is expected late May or early June.


    Apr 6 :

    Apr 5 :

    Virtavia models to support X-Plane. Collaboration with established X-Plane developer Dawson Designs means that premium Virtavia titles will now be fully converted to X-Plane format and offered at the vendors sites listed above. Head over to x-plane.org to read the announcement and see screenshots of the new X-Plane C-17 Globemaster III :Virtavia X-Plane.


    Apr 4 :

    The final F-111 video promo is now ready. It features the exterior models in some great scenes: F-111 Video. Use right-click and 'save target as' on the link to save a copy of the WMV file to your PC


    Apr 3 :

    Links to some full and fair flightsim.com reviews of the Sea King and Chinook packages have been placed on their respective pages. The reviews aren't new but may be useful if you have not already read them.


    Apr 1 :

    The old ex-AlphaSim F-111 Aardvark and B-1B Lancer packages are now available on the Virtavia Freeware pages. The F-111 will work in FS02 and FS9. The B-1B is for FS9, with a separate FSX version. Both packages are 100% complete, with panels, gauges, sounds, checklists and other goodies. Virtavia Freeware Site.


    Mar 30 :

    The Virtavia F-86F Sabre is currently available at PC Aviator at 50% off. Offer ends 6 April. Head over to PC Aviator.


    Mar 22 :

    Announcing the Virtavia A-4F Skyhawk ! Our latest project is well under way and the amazing virtual cockpit is almost complete. Click the A-4F link above to view the current specs and some WIP shots of the new cockpit. Exterior shots will be posted as soon as the first textures are completed.


    Mar 17 :

    F-111 released ! Head over to any of the four sites above which host Virtavia models to get your copy. A PhotoShop paintkit is available on the Virtavia Freeware Site.

    Mar 7 :

    The F-111 exterior modelling is now complete and several texture schemes have been completed. Click the F-111 Images link at the bottom of this page to see the new models and schemes. Just a handful of paint schemes remain to be done to complete the package. Note the descriptive text has been updated to more accurately reflect the scope of this addon.


    Feb 9 :

    LUN Ekranoplan (FS9, FSX)
    Westland Lynx AH7 - includes AH9, HAS3 and HMA8, sounds (FS02, FS9)
    Westland Lysander - includes Mk1, Mk3A, TT3, sounds (FS02, FS9)
    MiG-23 (FS9)
    All models have good VC's, 2D panel, gauges, checklist and readme.txt. All are available now, just head over to the Freeware pages : Virtavia Freeware Site


    Feb 5 :

    Several older AlphaSim titles are being released as freeware in the coming days and weeks, starting with the EFA Typhoon package from 2006. For the first time, an FSX portover version is now an option. The FS9 HUD and radar were not compatible with FSX, but an all-new FSX flight model has been added. The original HUD is still mapped in, so users can add a suitable display of their choosing by amending the panel.cfg. The original FS9 sounds are included in both versions. The Typhoon is available now, just head over to the Freeware pages : Virtavia Freeware Site


    Jan 3 :

    The RAAF F-111C in the camo scheme will now be included in the package. The aircraft will be A8-138. Several weapons loadouts are included.
